Small Group Summer Reading and Writing Class
While the summer holidays provides a much-needed break, it's also a great opportunity for students to gain more practice with writing in a more relaxed setting and to avoid the "summer slide" by helping them stay on top and prepared for the next school year.
In these classes, we will establish a weekly theme and have students practice their reading and writing through a variety of interactive activities. Students will:
practice reading stories aloud and independently
generate ideas for story writing and sharing
learn and form good writing habits
This will be the general lesson plan, but content and level of complexity will vary with each individual student's abilities. By the end of this program, your child will build their confidence and enthusiasm in reading and writing, and look forward to their upcoming school year.
